NAG-ISYU ng paglilinaw ang Malakanyang kaugnay sa pagpapalit ng posisyon ni Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) Chairperson Liza Diño kung saan nanumpang papalit sa kanya si Tirso Cruz III last Tuesday.
Sa naging paglilinaw ni Press Secretary Trixie Cruz-Angeles, sinabi nito na holdover capacity pa rin si Chair Liza habang pending pa muna ang appointment ni Tirso. “I had earlier mentioned that she might fall under MCI. However upon clarification with Ms Diño, the circumstances are as follows:
“Under RA 9167 the chairman and CEO has a term of three years, unless removed by the President.
“Ms Diño was reappointed by President Duterte and was serving a second term when President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. exercised his power to remove the current chair ang appoint a new one.
“However, while Mr Tirso Cruz III`s documents are pending , Ms Diño remains in a holdover capacity.” Dahil dito ay kaagad naman nagpapasalamat si Chair Liza sa nasabing klaripikasyon.
May naglabasang balita na handa na ang grupo ni incoming FDCP Chairman Tirso sa pag-upo at diumano kasama rin sina Senator Jinggoy Estrada at Direk Joey Reyes sa paghahanda para rito.
Samantalang ang bagong uupong chairperson ng Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) ay ang anak nina former Senate President Tito Sotto at Helen Gamboa na si Lala Sotto.
Ang naunang napaulat na si Johnny Revilla na kasabay nanumpa ni Tirso Cruz sa Malakanyang inakalang siyang magiging MTRCB Chairman ay magiging Board Member ng ahensya.
Sa pag-upo ni Chairperson Lala Sotto as MTRCB Chairman ay malaki ang pag-asa ng press na magiging malapit ito sa media lalo sa mga entertainment press.
